GLENFERNDALE

Penicuik is the largest town in Midlothian with near 20,000 residents. it is historically a mill town and has all the facilities you would anticipate of a town of this size such as pubs, restaurants and shops. We are nestled on the edge of the Sir John Clerk Estate but the town centre is a mere 10-15 minute walk. We are also set on a main route to Edinburgh although set back off the road and the frequent bus service can have you into Edinburgh in approx 20 minutes. Nearby there are several places of historical nterest with the most popular in recent times being Roslyn Chapel in the Village of roslin which is less than two miles from Penicuik as portrayed in the film the Da Vinci code. From our upstairs balcony we overlook the Pentland Hills where many pleasant walks can be found invariably ending up in the Flotterstone in for food or drinks or both.
