Facilities & InformationAccommodation comprises of Entrance Porch into hallway with downstairs WC. Fully fitted kitchen with separate dining area with good sized table and 4 good size chairs. Large and spacious sitting room (over 20' long) with a large comfortable 3 seater settee, a comfortable two seater settee plus other seating. There is an open fire and an antique Broadwood cottage piano. Upstairs - on the first floor, one bedroom with double bed and one bedroom with two single beds. Both bedrooms have wash basins and both bedrooms look out over open countryside. Family bathroom with bath with overhead shower and WC.
There is a good size garden which is mature and private with a good sized field in front. There are lovely, rural views over open countryside to the Lake District fells with distant views of the Langdale Pikes. The garden is enclosed on all sides and and is good for children. There is a garden table, four chairs and a parasol in one area, and 2 wooden benches in other areas.
Duvets, pillows AND bedlinen are provided but please bring your own towels.
No Pets Additional InformationGreenbank Lake District holiday cottage is situated on the boundary of the hamlet of Skelsmergh and has good access to both the south and north lakes (e.g. Lake Windermere, Rydal Water, Grasmere and Ullswater, to name but a few) and also the Yorkshire Dales.
The property is on the edge of The Lake District National Park, in the county of Cumbria. This is designated an area
of outstanding beauty, one quarter being owned and protected by the
National Trust.
Beatrix Potter who wrote and illustrated books for children lived near to Windermere and William Wordsworth the poet and writer lived in Grasmere.
