Facilities & InformationOur hire boats are all centrally heated, and come complete with everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable cruise. They are exceptionally well-equipped, with full galley offering four-ring gas cooker, grill, oven, microwave, electric fridge and a full range of kitchenware. There is hot and cold running water, shower and flushing toilet, the larger boats have a second toilet. Every berth has a cosy 13.5 tog duvet and two pillows, all bedlinen and towels are provided. We also supply a cleaning pack consisting of washing up liquid, cloths, tea towels, kitchen towel, toilet rolls, bin liners.
All our hire boats have flat screen colour TV/DVD Units compatable with games consoles, mains electricity via an inverter (max 1kw), hairdryer, 12v and 240v sockets for charging mobile phones and laptops.
We provide a full tank of diesel, gas bottles for cooking and central heating, and a full range of cruising tools. A canal map is provided, and just in case the weather is less than glorious, there are two sets of waterproof clothing and an umbrella on board.
Although the canals are not very deep, lifejackets are provided for under 12's, non-swimmers and anyone that requires one. We give you a safety briefing, and thorough tuition so that you can set off with confidence on your holiday. Additional InformationAlthough there are no set routes, we can suggest a cruising route to suit the time available, the number and experience of your crew, and the places you wish to visit.
Canal holidays are ideal for walking, fishing, wildlife, photography, visiting country pubs or just relaxing and watching the world drift by.
You can choose how much or how little you want to do. We show you how to work the boat through the locks, and you can select a route with many or just a few locks. The locks do need a certain amount of physical effort, but they are great fun, and offer a chance to meet and chat to other boaters.
