Additional Information

Bryn Awel house, built in the 1920's has solid brick walls under a slate roof.  The internal doors and bannisters as well as the original windows were all painted white over wood graining which was removed by hand and varnished when the current owners bought the house 25 years ago.  The wood has now mellowed beautifully. The hallway still has the patterned tiling so typical of ministers houses of the period. Bryn Awel bed and breakfast accommodation is elevated above Llangwm village and can be seen from the A5 trunk road one mile away.  The windows did still had the original old fashioned glass but it proved too drafty and were replaced with double glazing.  Only the bay windows have the old sashes and glass.
