The village of Fort Augustus has a stature which belies its size when it comes to attracting visitors. Much of the appeal is its location, on Loch Ness and on route between Inverness and Fort William. With the incredible open expanses of the Highlands on the doorstep and a wealth of associated outdoor activities it is always going to make a good Highland base and just a two minute walk from the shops, restaurants and boat trips in the village is an accommodation option which is very special indeed.
There are many facilities available within Aonach Mor private Abbey grounds, including tennis, croquet, badminton, giant chess, adventure playground, barbeques, picnic tables and a cricket pitch. The beautiful club lounge has a full size snooker table, table football, comfortable seating and a free wi-fi connection. Appearing to float over the water, the original wooden boathouse has been converted into a waterside restaurant. Additional Information
All apartments have TV with either Freeview or SKY TV, CD players, DVD and some with Wi-Fi internet connectivity and Ipod docking stations. The bedrooms are similarly well equipped, with comfortable beds and high quality soft furnishings and as well as the en suite facilities of master bedrooms (in the two and three bedroom apartments) all the apartments have further luxury family bathroom facilities. Some of the cottages at The Abbey are pet friendly and two centre holidays are also available Edinburgh - Loch Ness.
