Dunvant is a village on the outskirts of Swansea and the edge of the Gower Peninsula. It is well placed to visit both the North and South Gower beaches, and the countryside and heath land of the interior. The Gower Peninsula was the first area in the United Kingdom to designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and it has long be enjoyed by walkers, cyclists, photographers, and naturalists.

Surfers are lured to the beaches throughout the year, and the house is within ten miles of six golf clubs which offer a range of terrains for the visitor in search of a golf break in Wales.

For the historian, there is a wealth of evidence of the transformation of Swansea in the Industrial Revolution, and there is evidence of this on the doorstep, with the brickworks remains, along the bike path at the bottom of the road, now reclaimed by nature, and offering a home for roosting bats. There is also evidence of Dunvant's coal mining history, in the rows of terraced houses leading off the Square.
