AboutThe former Sunday School, built in 1848, for the hamlet of Upper Hulme and situated in the Peak Park ( Peak District) is now a charming , characterful cottage for holiday rentals.
Close to the famous Roaches, within a short drive of numerous attractions within the Peak District ,near Alton Towers.
Facilities & InformationSleeping 6 guests in 3 bedrooms , one four poster bedroom, one double bedroom and one twin ie 2x single bed room.
Two shower rooms, one with bath and over bath shower plus underfloor heating. Both bathrooms have heated towel rails.
Electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, small freezer, halogen oven, full range of oven/table/glassware.
Flat screen TV, radio/dvd/video players , selection of dvd's and videos, books, maps.
All linen included plus welcome pack. Additional InformationWe think this area is one of the hidden gems of England; beautiful countryside on the doorstep for walking, cycling, climbing, sailing, sight seeing, theatre or simply relaxing with family and friends.
There is a good food pub within 200 yards of the cottage ( but don't worry - the hamlet is very quiet and there is no noise at all from the pub - local farm animals are liable to make more noise!) .
Our cottage is ideally located to enjoy sightseeing in the Peak District - Chatsworth House, Alton Towers, Buxton Opera House, the world famous Roaches walking and climbing is on our doorstep; the Tissingham Trail ( cycling, walking) is a short drive away.
Upper Hulme is a peaceful hamlet yet with a robust, friendly and welcoming local community .As well as attracting many people interested in outdoor pursuits there are several popular wedding venues within a short drive . Alton Towers remains a popular draw.
