Lime Trees House, Kinross Holiday Cottage

LIME TREES HOUSE is our four bedroomed country house situated in 1/2 acre of grounds enclosed by mature lime trees and scotts pine. We use it as our second home and it is in a beautiful country location in the outskirts of the small village of Glenlomond. There is a partial view of the Lomond Hills and Loch Leven from the back. It Sleeps 8, plus a cot on request.

Lime Trees House is situated within the heart of Scotland and is within easy reach of all major airports in Scotland. Although situated in a beautiful rural location it is only 5 minutes drive from the M90 motorway. The nearest towns are Kinross and Perth, 7 and 12 miles respectively, with the historic city of Edinburgh within a 35 minutes drive. St Andrews which is home to the golf Open Championship in July is only 24 miles away.

Edinburgh Airport - 28 miles

The village of Glenlomond is in Kinross-shire and lies just north of Wester Balgeddie in the shadow of the Lomond Hills. During the first World War a hospital was established here but since the 1980's Glenlomond was redeveloped into a residential area and the main building transformed into a nursing home. The old road to Gateside and Strathmiglo, known as the Dryside Road, passes the village. Nearby sits the Bishop Hill with views looking out over Loch Leven.

Lime Trees House is set in beautiful rural Kinross-shire at approximately 600 feet above sea level nestling on the side of the Lomond Hills. Overlooking Loch Leven the area is a haven for wildlife and many visitors are found visiting or living in the garden. The RSPB Vane Farm Nature reserve is a 10 minute drive away. In the garden we have 8 mature Lime trees which are home to squirrels and numerous different birds.
