About

Eastcroft is a traditional crofter's cottage built in 1858.
It is situated in the small peaceful community of Lochdon that is built around the shores of a sea loch.
The views from the holiday cottage are beautiful, it is a very relaxing place to be far from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Facilities & Information

The lounge is comfortable with an open fire which provides central heating, there are electric heaters in all rooms and an immersion heater for hot water, in case you do not want to light the fire. There is a large television with freeview, a hi-fi with varied cd's and an assortment of books for rainy days.

The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave various small appliances and a small tv with freeview. There is also a dining table and chairs for four people.
The bathroom is modern with toilet, basin and a bath with shower over.
The loft bedroom is accessed from a stairway in the hall and contains a double and 2 single beds. Three large velux windows let in plenty of light and are fitted with blackout blinds.

Additional Information

Eastcroft is a crofter's cottage, still in the same family ownership since it was built in 1858. It has been modernised to today's standards but still retains it's charm.

There are beautiful views over the sea loch and many different species of birds can be seen, including sea eagles which are often at Lochdon. There is an abundance of wildlife and seen are usually to be seen around the loch. It's the perfect place for bird watchers, nature lovers, walkers, artists, photographers or just for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.

Local Information

Lochdon is in a central position for exploring Mull. There are many places to visit on Mull, Duart Castle the home of the clan Maclean and Torosay Castle and gardens are 1 mile away. The ferry terminal at Craignure is 3 miles away. Craignure also has several restaurants, a shop with post office, a tourist information centre, and a swimming pool with a spa . A narrow gauge railway runs from Craignure to Torosay gardens and is a favourite with the children. A golf course is 1 mile from Craignure and welcomes visitors.

Tobermory is the main town, where the children's program Balamory is set, there are shops and several cafes and a sea life centre where boat trips can be arranged.
A trip to Iona is a must, you can visit the abbey there, it is a very spiritual place.
Mull has something for everyone, birdwatchers, fishermen, walkers or just people who want to relax and enjoy the tranquillity that Mull offers.
