Facilities & Information

This lovely holiday home is situated in a quiet residential street, 2 mins walk away from the beach and Largo Bay with its break taking views over the bay to Edinburgh and its white sandy beaches.
The house has two well proportioned bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), a large lounge/ dining room with a modern gas fire, a separate kitchen and a newly fitted bathroom with walk in shower.

Hillhead House provides the perfect setting for a family holiday, a golfing trip or a sightseeing tour of the Kingdom of Fife.
Property Includes:

Entrance: You enter the house into a vestibule, perfect for storing coats, shoes and beach gear.

Hall: Vestibule leads into a large hall, with bookcases and storage, connecting all the rooms in the house.

Lounge (12'11"x17'11"): Well proportioned room with a gas fireplace, comfy sofa and easy chair. There is a TV, HiFi, I-pod speakers and a DVD player. There are also quite literally hundreds of dvd's, books and board games in the house for all the family.

There is also a dining table which comfortably sleeps 4 people.

Kitchen (14'5"x4'5"): Accessible from the lounge or hallway, this fully fitted galley kitchen incorporates everything you need:

- Cooker/ Oven

- Microwave Oven

- Fridge

- Freezer

- Washing machine

- Tumble drier

And a huge array of utensils, pots & pans, cutlery and crockery. There is also access to the garden through the kitchen back door.

Bedroom 1 (13'3x11'5"): A large double bedroom with plenty of storage space for clothes and equipment.

Bedroom 2 (11'7"x11'1"): A lovely light, twin room with wardrobe and individual chests of drawers (An additional pull out bed, not a camp bed, can be found under one of the twin beds)

Bathroom: A newly fitted bathroom with walk in shower and modern fixtures.

Garden: The house has a wonderful, self contained garden which is set back from the road, to the rear of the property, with garden table and chairs and two additional recliners. This space is ideal for BBQ's, sunbathing or for children to play in a safe and private environment.

Besides from relaxing and enjoying the slower pace of life in Fife, there are a whole host of things to do during your stay.

Golf
The East Neuk of Fife is regarded as the home of golf worldwide and there are numerous golf courses to meet the needs of every level of golfer.

Lundin Links boasts its own championship course and a smaller 9 hole course (ideal for ladies and children with smaller swings) and the house is in close proximity to some of the worlds finest golf courses:

Walking/ Cycling

Lundin Links is surrounded by the Picturesque tiny stone harbours of the fishing villages of the East Neuk - Anstruther, Crail, St Monans and Pittenweem. All of which are ideal for a gentle walk and a breath of fresh sea air! For the more daring walker or cyclist, the house is situated on the Fife Coastal Path, specifically designed for walkers and cyclists, which follows the coast line from Kirkcaldy right around to St Andrews.

Eating/ Drinking

If its local food and drink your after, you wont be disappointed. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs all within walking distance of the property. Including:

The Lundin Links Hotel: Fine food and wine, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere
The Crusoe Hotel: Good pub food and drink, reasonably priced.
The Railway Inn: Friendly local pub serving "real ale"

There are also a number of high quality restaurants in close proximity to the village

Shopping/ sightseeing

We are very well positioned for trips to Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee (By car, or public transport) and St Andrews, Scotland's oldest university town and the home of the world-famous Royal and Ancient golf club is less than 15mins drive away. The town has wonderful shops, restaurants and miles of sandy beaches
