Our South Wales hotel offers relaxation and a high level of personal service and attention, all in a rural location in the lovely county of Monmouthshire overlooking the banks of the River Usk.


Additional Information

Among the many unique features of the hotel, guests will find that each of its 27 rooms are different. From the four-poster bridal suite to family rooms, all are individual in character and shape due to the villa's architecture.

 

Furnished to a high standard, every room is fully en suite with trouser press, television, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and most have views of the hotel's spacious gardens. Along with family rooms we have a room with wheelchair and passenger lift access close by.

 

The recent addition of Complimentary Wireless Broadband in all of our bedrooms and throughout the whole hotel means that all guests can keep in touch with their business and friends at all times.

 

All rates quoted include a full English breakfast from our a la carte breakfast menu. A wide selection of fruit juices, cereals are available together with freshly baked croissants and home-made jams.

Our award winning Clarkes restaurant is open from 7pm to 10pm and serves light meals through to an excellent selection of a la carte dinners.

Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel is the perfect base to explore the sights of Monmouthshire and Southern Wales in your leisure time.

 

Located within a dozen miles of the hotel are many excellent golf courses including one staging the Ryder Cup in 2010. Should you wish to add a historical flavour to your visit, Monmouthshire has many attractions including Castles, Roman settlements, Tintern Abbey and of course reminders of the area’s industrial heritage such as Big Pit mining museum.

 

The Brecon Beacons National Park and Sugar Loaf mountain are only a short drive away should you wish to partake of the many walks available.
