The Fernbank offers a superb heated indoor pool and suntrap garden in which to relax. All bedrooms are en-suite, with beverage facilities, hairdryers, tvs etc. There is a choice of standard or superior bedrooms with further added touches.

 

We have one ground floor bedroom with en-suite wetroom suitable for the less mobile. Many bedrooms have views out over our sub-tropical gardens, to the downs, beyond.We have ample off road parking for our guests.

We offer a delicious all-day light bite menu and a well stocked bar.Complimentary wifi throughout the building.

The Fernbank has been extensively refurbished in Spring 2010, and now offers classic country house style accommodation, in which to relax and unwind and discover the beautiful Isle of Wight .Whether it is a short break, or a holiday make the Fernbank your second home. We offer ample off road parking on the premises.

Local Information

The Fernbank enjoys one of the most beautiful positions in the Old Village of Shanklin, Big Mead and the lovely Manor walk are just across the road. The Old Village, Chine, Shops and numerous eateries are all within a few hundred yards, while the beach is but a short stroll through the beautiful Tower Cottage Gardens.

 

A noted spot for red squirrel, sightings. The main town of Shanklin is within easy walk and offers a wide range of shops.

The Fernbank is central for all amenities, whilst being tucked away in a quiet corner on the edge of the countryside, with uninterrupted views of St Martins Down.

 

Situated in a magical position, overlooking its own subtropical garden, the Fernbank is the perfect location for walkers, and cyclists. As we are at the foot of St Martins Down, within five minutes walk, one is able to join a huge network of scenic walks that criss cross the island. A great place to stay and enjoy the diversity, that is the Isle of Wight.
