AboutClyde View sits up on a hillside over looking the Clyde, with spectacular views and scenery around us. We are minutes away from the ferry crossing to Dunoon, the Isle of Bute and Cumbrae, and also only an hour from Glasgow. Beautiful beach walks from the bottom of the hill. We welcome dogs too!
Facilities & InformationClyde View is a caravan with 3 bedrooms, one double, one twin, one single and a dinette this comfortably sleeps 7. The kitchen has gas oven/hob/ grill plus microwave with a seating area opposite. The bathroom has a shower with constant hot water available. The front room boasts glorious views, we also provide a tv/dvd player and a cd player should you wish to bring your own films and/or music. Please note that the tv reception is poor, so tv is only suitable for watching dvds. Dog crates are available on request. Towels and throws are also provided for dogs.
The enclosed garden space outside is paved and approximately 35 x 12 foot in size surrounded by a 4ft secure fence. There is also a table with 4 chairs to enjoy the view from, ideal for sunny lazy days. Dogs are free to come and go in the enclosed garden but they must be on lead at all times if you are walking through the Park. However 30 yards away is the entrance to the woods behind the park where dogs are allowed off lead. You can meander through the woods, up through the Scottish heather and onto the fields beyond. There is no livestock in the immediate area so you can walk your dogs with ease should they prefer an off lead walk/run.
We have one parking space adjacent to the property, there is extra parking 30 yards along the path. There is also a small children's play area at this point, with seating for adults to take in the panoramic views while the children play in the playground. All
linen and towels (not beach) are provided. We can also give useful
advice on the most suitable place to take your dogs e.g
livestock/traffic free and quiet.
There are great walks from your front
door but if you feel more adventurous we will also provide literature
on local places of interest, we are only a couple of minutes from the
ferry crossing to Dunoon, a 30 minute drive to Glasgow and a 45 minute
drive to Loch Lomond.
The Caravan Park has its own small convenience
store with basic essentials. It also has a restaurant, licensed bar and
off licence. The other local supermarkets are only 5/10 minutes drive,
again all directions will be included in the Welcome Pack. This will
also detail other local restaurants/takeaways plus other information.
Dog sitting is also available at no extra charge. Additional Information
