Facilities & Information

There is a full kitchen with a microwave and wood stove, and the living room features a working fireplace and TV.  The bathroom has an electric shower and a bath, and there is also a utility room with washer and dryer.

The gorgeous private garden includes a sitting area with lawn furniture and a bbq, nestled in the heart of the village.  This is an ideal retreat for exploring the area - perfect for keen walkers, with direct access to an abundance of walks, cycle ways and bridle paths. There are also numerous country pubs in the area with one two doors down, all offering a wonderful selection of food.

Additional Information

On the slopes above Holmbury St Mary is Hurtwood Common, a carefully managed forests which sweeps up to the summit at the site of an old hill fort, where these days there is an exposed and wonderful viewing spot of the Weald countryside below.   Wide firebreaks in woodland with pale sandy soil, allow views north to the North Downs to match those to the south.  Wildlife abounds in every form, plants, birds and animals nurtured in this safe and supportive environment.   A spot for contemplation, recreation, fresh air and pure happiness!

The Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), designated in 1958, offers some of South East England’s most beautiful and accessible countryside and the highest point in the South East of England at Leith Hill. You’ll discover an extensive footpath network, open commons, breathtaking views, attractive market towns and villages and much more. Over the centuries the Surrey Hills has been a favourite playground for local people and visitors keen to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery.

All this,  but only a short distance away is London,  or Brighton.   Both Gatwick and Heathrow Airports are within 40 minutes drive.
