Detached 2 bed-roomed cottage sleeps 4set in its own charming 1/2 acre garden with fabulous views to the surrounding countryside. Ideal location for exploring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Vale of Usk. 3 miles from Chepstow and less than 45 minutes drive from Cardiff and Bristol.

Facilities & Information

Centrally heated and carpeted throughout this lovely cottage with a traditional homely feel is an ideal place to stayfor exploring this beautiful part of the country or just to relax.

The porperty comprises of 2 bedrooms one with a double bed the other single and plenty of room for a comfortable put you up for the 4th person.

The lounge has a woodburning stove ideal for those cosy nights in, a digital 32" TV and DVD.

A separate kitchen fully fitted with double oven ceramic hob, Microwave and fridge with small freezer box and small breakfast table seating up to 4. The window overlooks the bird feeders and a pair of binoculars have been provided to view the birds that are ever present in the garden.

The bathroom has a bath and overhead shower.

Outside there is a patio with table and chairs; a great place to sit and enjoy the fabulous views surrounding the property. The garden is filled with old fashioned flowers and roses, plus there is a large grassed area big enough to kick a football around. Off road parking for 2 vehicles, lockable storage for bikes and an outside tap is useful for washing muddy boots, bikes etc.

Pets are most welcome and it's ideal walking country.

Chepstow has regular farmers markets and a variety of restaurants and cafes to suit almost everyones palette.

The area is renowned for its prestigious restaurants, two with michelin stars. Outdoor activies include Moutain biking in the Forest of Dean one of the countries premier sites, walking on the numerous footpaths that are on the doorstep and Offas Dyke and the Wye Valley long distance Walk a short distance away. Horse racing at Chepstow, host to the Welsh Grand National, diving at the National Diving Centre just outside Chepstow and canoeing on the River Wye.

Being a border county there are castles galore including Chepstow, Ragland and Caldicot. Tintern abbey beloved by Wordsworth, Roman scamp at Caerleon with new a new discovery possibly making it one of the largest camps in UK and that is just for starters. Plus with Bristol and Cardiff not that far away offering all the cultural experiecnes that you would expect.
