Laurelbank Holiday Home has one large double bedroom, one smaller double bedroom and a large twin bedroom. On the ground floor the large living room has a leather 'sofa bed' which could be used for 2 extra guests, the dining room leads onto the newly fitted and fully equipped kitchen. There is a bathroom (shower and bath) on the mid floor level and a separate toilet on the ground floor.
The well tended front garden provides and excellent place to enjoy the morning sun while the enclosed rear garden with its landscaping and astroturf area is perfect for evening barbeques, gentle football matches with the little ones or relaxing and recreating those marvellous chip & runs shots that the ‘pro’s’ can do but which continue to elude one. The house has been recently refurbished and is HMO licensed. (HMO license is awarded by Fife Council who regularly inspect the property and demand strict safety certification) Laurelbank is fully equipped for your stay: Dishwasher & washing machine, Fridge, Cable TV, DVD, Freezer, Broadband connection, Barbeque, Central heating and combi boiler, Microwave, Garden table and chairs. All crockery (including an outdoor set), cutlery, pots/pans and kitchen utensils. Bed linen and towels are supplied for each guest and are changed weekly unless otherwise arranged. Laurelbank is located in the centre of St. Andrews and 638 yds walk to the 18th green of St. Andrews golf course. The red star on the tourist map shows the location of Laurelbank. To locate Laurelbank on a web 'map' site enter the following : KY16 9EX
For some reason most of the postcodes in St. Andrews are about 250 metres out of location but KY16 9EX gets you to almost the exact location of Laurelbank.
The property ……
Laurelbank is a traditional stone building in the Conservation Area of the City of St. Andrews. From its central location on the Lade Braes Walk it commands uninterrupted views over the rolling hills of Wester and Easter Balrymonth leading to Crail and the North Sea. Lade Braes Walk is traffic free but a 50 metre walk will take you to the West Port which is the entry to South Street the main street for restaurants, pubs and shops and leads directly to the Cathedral, the Castle and the East Beach. The Old Course and the West Beach is 650 metres away which is a gentle 15 minute stroll but it usually take longer as one can be easily distracted by shops and quaint houses that hide within discreet closes (alleys).
