Whitsun View is an end terraced stone cottage, situated in a quiet private road very close to the heart of Wooler in beautiful Northumberland. The cottage has a well kept, large, peaceful garden with beautiful hill views. It is ideally situated for walking, cycling and general outdoor activities.

A delightful traditional stone built end of terrace cottage situated on a quiet private road close to the heart of the vibrant Market Town of Wooler.  The town nestles in the foothills of the Cheviots, Northumberland National Park. Fabulous walks can be enjoyed in the surrounding area and from the door step of the cottage.

 

Whitsun View holiday cottage has a beautiful well kept garden with a seating area from which to enjoy uninterrupted hill views. Visitors are welcome to pick seasonal produce from the vegetable garden.
With its original features the property offers comfortable well equipped accommodation of great charm and character within a short stroll of independent shops, welcoming cafes and country pubs. Wooler offers a variety of places to dine including a popular Italian Restaurant or why not simply enjoy the views and dine Alfresco in the quiet sechluded cottage garden.

Local Information

Northumberland National Park with unspoilt beaches and medieval Castles of the Northumberland Coast are within a short drive.
Only 10 miles from the A1, Wooler  makes a fantastic base form which to visit the many Castles, historic houses and gardens that make Northumberland such a special place to stay.
The Border towns of Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Coldstream, Kelso and Jedburgh are only a short drive away.

 

Visit the Castles of Norham, Etal and Chillingham ( said to be one of Englands most haunted) with its herd of wild cattle.
Along the coast we have the iconic landmark of Bamburgh Castle towering over a pristine beach on one side and a charming village on the other.  Seahouses is just furhter up the coast where you can enjoy fish and chips overlooking the bustling working harbour before taking a boat trip to the Farne Islands to visit the puffin colonies and grey seals.
To the North a trip to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a must with its imposing castle, priory and timeless village only reached by a causeway at low tide.

 

Nearby we have Alnwick with its famous castle and gardens. This includes the poison garden, water features and giant tree house restaurant.
Walk St Oswalds Way from Lindisfarne to Hadrians Wall through spectacular scenery or hire cycles and enjoy the quiet country lanes around Wooler. Swimming and golf are available locally
