Facilities & InformationYou host throughout your stay at Velog is Rose, who is a warm and friendly person to whom nothing is too much trouble. We offer our guests good home cooked fare to their needs, in an atmosphere that is both warm and relaxed. Velog has been refurbished to a high standard throughout. We have three double bedded rooms which will each sleep either 1 or 2 persons. Unfortunately we cannot offer family rooms or twin bedded rooms.
All rooms are en-suite with two rooms offering shower facilities and one with a bath - no shower -. If you prefer a bath to a shower do ask on booking.
All rooms also have hospitality trays, tv, clock/radio alarms, hairdryers. Ironing facilities available on request from you host.
Velog is just 2 minutes walk from lovely cliff top walks which meander down to safe bathing beaches nestling below majestic cliffs. Views across the estuary to Harlec and its castle are breathtakingly beautiful. The sunsets in the summer turn the mountain a beautiful shade of pink a site not to be missed.
Additional InformationVelog is just 3/4 mile from the busy Victorian town of Porthmadog with a wide variety of shops, restaurants and public houses. Porthmadog is also home of the Ffestiniog and WelshHighland narrow gauge railways, which run to either Blaenau Ffestiniog or now all the way through to Caernarfon taking is breathtakingly spectacular scenery.
Velog sits on the edge of the Snowdonia National park and is a great central base for getting to all attractions and ammenities of the area. Mt Snowdon is just 3/4 hour drive at the most, and Portmerrion the pretty Italinatte village renowned for the cult series of the Prisoner is just 1 1/2 miles away.
We have lovely walks in the local area, or you can go mountain and rock climing, Poiny treking, Llama treking, quad biking,paint-balling and many more activities or just relax on the many sandy beaches close to the house.
