Local Information

Beech Tree Barn is located on the northern edge of Salisbury Plain, on the fringe of the village of Coulston. Coulston is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, five miles North East of the Town of Westbury and 7 miles South West of Devizes, just north of the B3098 road.

Beech Tree Barn sits within our grounds, adjacent to woodland and open fields.

We are on the edge of the village of Coulston, which nestles between Erlestoke and Edington.

Beech Tree Barn is c. 7 miles south west of the market town of Devizes, which is our local centre.

Daultsey's school is c. 5 miles away and there is an excellent railway service from Westbury station some 8 miles distant.

Coulston is a historic village - the village church has 12th century Norman origins - and the village is in a beautiful setting with the hills of Salisbury Plain rising to the South and the Marlborough Downs away to the North West.

The Kennet and Avon canal is c. 7miles to the North at Seend - with easy access to the famous Caen Hill locks.

To the south is Salisbury Plain and the Stonehenge site, which is also home to MOD military training, offers significant public access to unspoilt upland subject to military training requirements.
