It has panoramic views across Wensleydale towards Pen Hill and Bishopdale. A window seat looks out on Bolton Castle just 200yds away. One medium-sized pet welcome.
Facilities & InformationUp on the sunny side of the Wensleydale valley and once the studio of renowned Dales artist Fred Lawson, the cottage has been recently renovated to a high standard and has recently achieved four stars with 'Visit England' It has a contemporary feel but without loosing sight of the traditional. The cottages has a feature spiral staircase and oak floors throughout. An ideal romatic bolt-hole whether for walking, touring or just strolls to the waterfalls of Redmire and Aysgarth - taking in a local pub on the way.
Ground Floor: From it's position on the village green, the ground floor has fantastic views South across Wensleydale to Pen Hill and Bishopdale. The West facing window seat gives views of Bolton Castle just 200 metres away, while the East windows looks down the village to meadows and limestone escarpement. The living area comprises: State-of-the-art, dry electric radiators (allowing full control over the room heating) LED TV and DVD, also provided are: DAB radio and ipod/MP3 dock. The comfortable sofa and throws make for romatic, cosy evenings. A varied selection of games and books are also provided. The all new kitchen has been fitted out with the halogen hob and professional quality oven. In the newly designed kitchen we've tried to think of everything you might need including: Coffee machine, microwave, toaster and washing machine. Upstairs: Up the spiral staircase to the first floor. The shower room has been fiited out to a high standard with a powerfull shower, guaranteed to revive you in the mornings. A small slit, barn window brings in the morning sun from over the meadows to the East.
The bedroom has the view to die for. Open the window and breathe in the morning air. In the autumn, mists roll down the valley below you, orange from the rising sun. Though the king size bed is comfortable, warm and cosy, it's difficult not rise early to catch the dawn from the bedroom window. Again, this room uses dry electric radiators to give you full control over the temperature. Towels and bed linen provided.
Outside: The cottage is right behind the old village pump on the village green, open a bottle of wine, sit on the bench outside and watch the sunset. Parking is available outside the house, or make use of the village car park. Additional Information
