Additional Information

The Tower House, a listed building, provides self-catering holiday accommodation in former toll house, built in the 1800s. The beautiful south facing garden provides a delightful settingh to enjoy your holiday, with splendid views across open countryside. 

Throughgate is a hamlet close to the village of Dunscore, which is a short walk away and has a Post Office and a play park. The Tower House provides an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside and for walking in Scotland's southern uplands. The cottage is perfectly located for 3 of the 7Stanes mountain bike centres.

 

The cottage is close to  Thornhill, a beautiful village which offers a number of shops and banks. Dumfries itself  is just 9 miles away and offers a wide range of facilities including a new swimming pool and museums.
