Cowar Cottage is a traditional stone Galloway holiday cottage with a self-contained annexe (used by the owners at weekends) attached to it. The cottage sits entirely on its own, with lovely views across the surrounding countryside. There is a large garden to relax in and ample off-road parking.

One double and two twin bedrooms.

Lounge with open fire - flatscreen TV, DVD and hifi system.

Farmhouse style fully fitted kitchen diner with fridge/freezer, hob/oven, microwave and automatic washing machine.

Fully equipped bathroom.

South facing conservatory to relax in.

Large garden and parking space.

Garage for bike storage.

There is oil fired central heating which is included in the cost. Electricity cost is additional after the first £10.

Bed linen and towels are generally not provided, however for a small charge linen can be provided if necessary.

Local Information

Being in the heart of Galloway there is an abundance of attractions on our doorstep from strenuous hill walks and pony trekking to beautiful evening strolls. Sandy beaches can be found at Rockcliffe and Kippford. Wildlife abounds with a nature reserve nearby. Golf, fishing, riding and sailing are available along with many child friendly centres. There is lots to keep both adults and children happy all holiday.
