Mallards is part of a lovely old building which used to be a Steam Laundry and before that a Timber Mill. It was converted into three large houses in the 1980s, each with its own private terrace beside the canal Perfect for a relaxing break.

About Us
Mallards Holiday Cottage is a luxury self-catering holiday cottage in Bude on the coast of North Cornwall, situated about half a mile from the town centre on the banks of the historic Bude Canal. Bude is a lively place all year round, much more than just a tourist destination, with a wide range of shoping facilities, pubs, restaurants and leisure facilities. As well as two sandy beaches there are large areas of public access and National Trust land on the cliff tops on either side of the town, with the South West Coast Path running through it, perfect for walkers. The beaches and the town centre can be reached on foot in about ten minutes, though you can also use the cottages rowing boat to get there if you wish! In less than an hour by car you can reach much of the coast of North Cornwall and its many charming villages and superb beaches, as well as most of the rugged coastline of North Devon and the endless moorland and pretty river valleys of Dartmoor. Mallards is a perfect holiday cottage for a relaxing stay with family or friends, with a huge choice of things to do each day. The beaches and town centre are so close that you don't need to drive anywhere if you don't want to, and older children can be largely independent. Bude is more easily accessible by car than most places in Cornwall, being just over an hour from Exeter and with traffic jams hardly ever a problem. There is also a frequent express bus service from Exeter which has excellent rail and air links.

Accommodation Ground Floor: Entrance Hall: with plenty of space for coats, shoes etc. Staircase to first floor. Kitchen/dining room: Split-level and open plan with windows to the canal and to the parking area. Dining area with table seating up to 8 adults. The kitchen is generously equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, plus a dishwasher, microwave, gas range cooker with 8 burners, 2 ovens and grill, and a large fridge/freezer. Laundry room: with full-size washing machine and tumble drier. Shower room with thermostatic shower, WC and wash basin. Drying Cupboard.
First Floor: Lounge: Very large and light room with views of the canal and countryside. Comfortable chairs and sofas for 8 people. Writing table and 2 chairs. Well-stocked bookshelf. TV/DVD including Freeview channels. CD player and radio. Bedroom 1: 1 x double bed. Very cosy room with large window looking over the canal. Bathroom: Corner bath, WC, bidet and large wash basin. Shower room: shower cabinet and thermostatic shower. Hall with storage space and staircase to top floor.
	Top Floor: Bedroom 2: 1 x double bed and 2 x bunk beds. Large room with views towards Bude town centre. Bedroom 3: 2 x single beds. Velux window. Bedroom 4: 1 x single bed. Velux window. Cot available. 1 x extra single mattress available.
	Outside: Private terrace with garden benches and table. Rowing boat tied up at the jetty (adult and child lifejackets available). Parking space for up to 3 cars. Covered entrance porch with hangers for drying towels, swimsuits, wet suits etc. Large, portable barbecue with dome lid.
